Why I Want to Become an Actuary

• My strongest subject is math and Actuaries deal with tons of math.
• I really like the other types of jobs that an Actuary Major has to offer is being an actuary doesn't work out.
• The career itself has very good benefits.
• The salary is plenty enough to live a comfortable lifestyle.
• Studies have shown that Actuaries are one of the best jobs because overall they were rated in the top five of all the main categories that jobs are rated by.

Other Important Aspects of Being an Actuary

• They solve societal and business problems for corporations and government agencies to make decisions.
• Other types of career fields for actuaries are in banking, investments, computer software company's financial issues and many more fields.
• The Actuary profession has been annually rated in the top 5 of jobs in America in the past several years.
• Many Actuaries run their own business so they can do what they want and work on their own schedule.

Importance to Society

• They determine the likelyhood of certain types of events
• Find ways to reduce unwanted events
• Increase the effect of unwanted event that do end up occuring
• Actuaries are the backbone to our society's financial security programs
• The main thing that actuaries do to contribute to society is managing peoples risks so they do not have to worry about it

The Examination Test

• There are seven different examination tests.
• If two or more examinations are passed their are better opportunities for employment at higher starting salaries than those who do not.
• The exams can be taken while your in college
• Usually the exams are finished typically between 4 to 8 years
• Many students find work immediately after graduation and can still take the examination test while working.
• Many people do it this way because most employers pay the fees of examinations while your working for their company.
• Also, if you pass examination test while working you will get an increase in pay the higher you get.
